Police are looking to arrest a woman on a charge of attempted kidnapping after allegedly trying to change her iPhone for a baby, police in the United Kingdom said.
A distraught mother told investigators that the unidentified woman tried to grab her 1-year-old daughter in the public toilets of the Doncaster Marketplace.
According to the police investigation, the mother took her daughter into the restroom to change her pamper when the suspect started pulling her feet.
The suspect held an iPhone and told her to take it in exchange for the baby.
The woman refused the offer, but the suspect kept pulling the baby until she ran out of the restroom.
The traumatized mother vowed never to return to the Doncaster Marketplace. Police officers are investigating the incident, but so far, no arrests have been made. The child was not injured.
