1. THE MENACE OF CHILD
TRAFFICKING IN NIGERIA AND WAY
OF CURTAILING IT
although a lot of definitions have
been advanced for the phrase a "child
trafficking" its simplest and most
widely accepted meaning is the
recruitment
,transportation,transfer,harboring and
or receipt of a child for the purpose
of exploitation.the impact of child
trafficking is for greater than its
immediate visible effects,as
experiences can shape child
development negatively,with dire
consequences for adult life.research
has shown that the physical
psychological and behavioral
consequences of child trafficking and
impact not just the child and
family, but the community as a whole.
recently,three buses filled with
children,apparently on child
trafficking mission to the west coast
of africa,were intercepted by soldiers
at okene,kogi state.upon
interrogation,it was discovered that
the children were in the dark
concerning the motive of their
captors. similarly,a national daily
recently published,in its front page ,a
story relating to the jailing,by a
special coast in alausa,ikeja,of a
woman who was caught begging with
three hired children.these two
separate episodes have further
reinforced the argument, in some
quarters,that children are fast
becoming endangered species in an
increasing troubled world. child
trafficking also involves Mal
treatment of
children,sexual,harassment,denial,of
education child labour ,intimidation
and molestation,physical
assault,neglect and child abuse
among others.it constitutes a major
threats to the development of
children across the world.it could
lead to depression,frustration and
unplanned teenage pregnancies.in
addition it could lead
apathy,hostility,stress,luck of
concentration,eating
disorders,excessive aggression
among others.importantly education
and employment for the teeming
youths is necessary to archive the
objective of curtailing child
trafficking.

18th June, 2015.
Dear Sir,
How are u? Hope all its well. How
about your family? Hope things are
going well. I bring to you notice that i
won't be able to meet up the
academic session as i planned with
certain reasons.
The Government in our area has ask
everyone in the community to remove
all shops in our place due to they
want's to maped out new amenities
in the state, and its all affected us,
and we were giving three days to do
dat.
However, my mom lost everything
she had, both the shop and all the
provision's in the shop's were
domilished and destroy by state
Government. Things are hard for us
and the most uncraziest one was my
dad lost his job.
In Addition, our landlord came early
these month and gave everybody
quite notice to pay their rent on or
before next week.
Consequently, my cousin brother in
the village came early these month
and told my parents that my grand
ma is sick and she need adequate
treatment else she will die, and with
all these strategies affecting my
family, i have to amend all these
problems and get everything settled.
Furthermore, i know that i will be
absent in all activities in the school,
but i know by God's Grace everything
will be alright and i promise to
resume as soon as possible.
Send my greeting to everyone in the
school most especially uncle maths
and anty Edi our English teacher, all
the noble collegues in the school and
your family too.

It was a nice day. Spring was almost
over, and winter was
settling in. At the moment, the
temperature was perfect!
The Geese were migrating north, and
the birds were
chirping farewell as they followed the
geese. But a few
stubborn birds stayed back, not
wanting to leave. The
following winter was hard, there was
barely any food,
and the days were getting shorter. It
was getting colder
every day, and some fell asleep, and
never woke. One
bird, smarter than the rest, knew
something had to be
done. He was living alone, in the hole
of a tree. “I will not
die!" he said, "I refuse to! I have to
do something!" he
paced around his little home, then,
he thought of an idea!
"maybe, just maybe, if i go when the
sun is barely up,
and all of the birds are asleep, then I
might get a decent
meal!" he smiled and went to sleep,
waiting for the
morning to come. The next morning,
he woke up and
shot out of the hole. He scanned the
ground as he flew
over. "there!" he found a perfect
digging spot. He
swooped down and started to dig. The
earth was harder,
now that winter had come. But he
continued digging,
until finally he had found a worm. he
snatched it and
flew to his nest. It was an earth worm
to! that night, he
had a feast. he continued to do this
for the rest of the
winter. A man, who had been
watching smiled, as he said,
"The early bird gets the worm"
